Katie and I met at the University of Tennessee and were sorority sister in ADPi there. Katie and her husband Monroe have been married for five years and started their journey to have a baby in 2011.
There is no other way to put this, Katie has been through it! She was diagnosed with the same condition I have among a few other things. She and Monroe have tried absolutely everything, exhausted every medical option and financial resource. Never losing sight of their faith and trusting God's plan for their lives. It has been incredibly inspirational to watch and I am amazed by Katie's unending faith.
This past April, Katie found out that she would not be able to carry her own pregnancy. After what she has put her body through the past three years let me just say that would be a tough pill to swallow. However, the Lord answered their prayers with a solution: A gestational carrier. This process does not come without significant financial costs.
Please take a moment to check out Katie's fundraising page and if you feel inclined give to this sweet family who wants so desperately to have a family of their own.
