I LOVE New York! (Part 1)

I'm back!!!  Spring break was everything I hoped it would be and more!  Relaxing, eventful, productive and SUPER fun!  All starting of course with our fabulous trip to NYC.  Now I am going to do my best to make this the condensed version but we did a whole heck of a lot in 5 days.  So here we go! (Part 1 of course!)

5 days. 4 friends. 1 city to conquer.

Day 1- Colston and I flew in BRIGHT and early.  Upon landing we immediately dropped our bags off at Suze&Matty's and headed to SoHo to shop.  We got there precisely as they were unlocking the stores.  It was PERFECT.  We shopped until we dropped.  Literally.  Then stopped for a delicious lunch in China Town. That night Suze&Matty took us to an authentic Indian restaurant that was super yummy and then to our very first speak easy PDT. It's so sneaky I can't even tell you about it. :) All in all a fabulous first day!

Day 2: Well day 2 got off to slow start.  My allergies decided to follow me from East TN.  Luckily day 2 was also our least pretty day weather wise.  So I napped a bit and then Colston and I headed out for lunch at this awesome hole in the wall Mexican place Matt told us about.  Then we headed into Times Square.  Cole was in awe.  It was awesome and so fun!  That night we headed to dinner at Hudson Clearwater (by far my fav dinner of the trip) and then off to another speak easy, we bar hopped from there and then Colston and I took a tour of the Empire State Building at midnight.   Unreal.

Day 3: Also known as St. Patricks Day!  Whoa! NYC knows how to celebrate for St. Pattys.  We started the day with a fabulous brunch in Midtown.  From there we mosied on down to a little place called McSorley's Old Ale House. Apparently THE place to be in St. Patty's in NYC.  It proved to be quite that as we stood in line for approximately 30 minutes to get a peak inside this little gem.  It did not disappoint.  We were lucky enough to snag a table in the back and take in all of the Irish pride.  From there we beboped around town. Made a pit stop for some true NY pizza and ended at a little place with an awesome DJ that we quickly made into our own dance floor.  Why not? We were off the streets and in bed by 10pm.  Couldn't have been a better day!

Whew!  So as you can see that is only the first half of the trip.  Way to much fun for words.  So marinate on that and I will be back tomorrow to discuss my fabulous birthday celebration as well as the day Cole and I walked 10 miles around NYC. For real.  Stay tuned!
