Not really...we had a great weekend but man did it rain! Both days. So our plans of sunshine and lake days were definitely put on the back burner. Let's racap:
Friday night Cole & I had a dinner date at my favorite restaurant Sunspot. Sunspot is this little hole in the wall restaurant on UT's campus strip. The food is eclectic and reminds me of Portland and I absolutely love it! After dinner we headed to Market Square to enjoy the nice weather on a patio. We ended up trying out Sangria's which we had both never been to. We had a fabulous time chatting and people watching!
Saturday we had full intentions of heading out the lake...but after checking the weather forecast we decided to run a quick errand first. Then came the monsoon thunderstorms.....for the next 4 hours. That night we had a mellow night at the house and enjoyed a more low key weekend for once.
Yesterday was Father's day!! Cole and I are so blessed to have great dad's who both live in Knoxville. After church Sunday we went over to Cole's grandparents for lunch with the family! We had a wonderful time catching up and celebrating Cole's grandfather, dad and brother-in-law! We are one lucky family! That night my dad came over to have our own celebration! It was a smaller scale father's day since Daane is gone at OCS.....but we managed to have an awesome time! :) We grilled out and celebrated my wonderful dad!
