This weekend my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I escaped for a weekend getaway in Asheville. We have been trying to plan a girls trip for a while now and we all just love Asheville. The trip was exactly what I needed, shopping, great food and fabulous girl time. Let's recap:
We drove in Saturday morning just in time for a FABULOUS lunch at
Salsa. If you remember Cole and I took a trip to Asheville for my birthday last year and stopped at Salsa for lunch. A must see if you are in the area! After lunch we were off to shop our afternoon away. We hit up all of our favorite boutiques, furniture stores, art galleries and antique shops. Then we decided to go ahead and check into our hotel
The Grand Bohemian and walk around Biltmore Village. I have been to Asheville a number of times and the Grand Bohemian is by far my favorite place to stay. It is unique, luxurious and glamorous....all with a little rustic, artistic flair.

After we checked into our hotel we were off to the Biltmore to check out the winery. The winery was gorgeous and after our wine tasting we headed back to our hotel to get ready for dinner. Here are a few more hotel shots because it was just so pretty!

We decided to stay and eat dinner at our hotel's restaurant
The Red Stag. Our dinner was in one word Unreal. I had the salmon with asparagus and risotto and it completely changed my life.

After dinner we went and cozied up by the huge fireplace before taking it back to the room to bed.

The next day we headed back to Knoxville and made a pit stop in Hot Springs, NC. Hot Springs is a cute little town and it had been years since I had been there. We ate a delicious lunch, shopped around and then made it home with plenty of time before the super bowl. All in all a fabulous weekend with great company!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
xoxo,
