The Seductive Home.

Yes that is the name of Moll Anderson's new book available at Amazon this February.  You are probably wondering who is Moll Anderson and what is a seductive home??  Let me give you a little background.

My fabulous BFF Ash (a.k.a. Smash) who I reference almost daily has a FABULOUS job.  She is the Creative Director & Personal sidekick for Moll Anderson.
Smash & Moll - GORGEOUS ladies.
Now if you don't know who Moll is first and foremost you have got to check out her website www.mollanderson.com.  Moll is a Interior Designer and Lifestyle Expert (sounds fabulous right??)  I am going to see how many times I can use the word fabulous in this blog post because frankly that is exactly what Moll is.  Anyway, she wrote this awesome book in 2006 called "Change Your Home, Change Your Life" I personally own a copy and I highly recommend it. Also available at Amazon.
Basically the book explains that you can make small inexpensive changes to your home that will change the way you feel every time you walk into the space.....in turn changing your outlook and your life.  Her five necessities are paint, lighting, music, flowers and fabric.  Think about it. Those five things totally make a difference in a home.  Fresh flowers, candles, plush fabrics, soft music and obviously paint.  Anyone who has painted their home knows what a difference a good coat of paint can have in a room or even a piece of furniture.

So fast forward 5-6 years and Moll is coming out with her second book "The Seductive Home." I will definitely be checking this one out!  This second book gives you a look into Moll's personal homes (which are absolutely fabulous. duh. ) and shows you how sensory elements can make a home seductive.

With all of this being said.  Last night Moll was honored in NYC as one of Donna Karan's "Woman Who Inspire" for her work with Habitat for Humanity.

Other women who made this list include Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore, Brooke Shields, Rachel Zoe and many more.  It took every ounce of self control for me not to impulsively swipe the AMEX and jump on the next flight to NYC to see this all go down.  But I too have a fabulous job and my job this week involves things like advisory lunches with my 10 awesome high school seniors and listening to chapel talks (AK I hope you are reading this :) ).

So there you have it.  I highly recommend checking out Moll's books, website, blog and tweets.  She does a great job of giving tips on life and small challenges like "do something bold today."  Don't mind if I do.

Happy Monday Friends!
